Those monuments hold Arabic, Christian and even Roman history. The Alcazar of Seville is the oldest palace of Europe and still in use by the Spanish royal family. The Cathedral is the third largest in the world and is built on the old great mosque which had been demolished. Even though the people of Seville demolished the mosque they kept the tower of Giralda. Why would the people of Seville demolish a symbol of the Islam, the mosque, but keep the minaret? The remains of Christopher Columbus are buried in the Cathedral, scientifically proved. Common questions about booking Seville experiences through SimilarTours
April through May and September through October hit the sweet spot - warm but not scorching, and you'll dodge the summer crush. Holy Week (Semana Santa) in spring is spectacular but chaotic; book well ahead if that's your draw.
For private transfers and cooking classes, aim for at least 2-3 weeks out, especially if you're traveling April-May or in autumn. Multi-day Andalusian packages and guided cathedral visits move steadily, so booking a month ahead gives you breathing room.
Absolutely. Seville's cathedral and bullring attract crowds, and having priority entrance (offered on some official guide tours) saves real time. For exploring white villages or arranging airport pickups from Málaga, a private transfer beats piecing together public transport.
Most combine accommodations, private tours of key sites, and transfers between towns - so you're not juggling logistics daily. Check your specific package details for what meals and entrance fees are covered.
The old town is walkable, taxis are cheap and plentiful, and the tram system covers main routes. If you're doing day trips to nearby villages or the sierra, booking a private transfer or joining a guided tour removes the headache of navigation.
Yes - both have layers of history that guides unlock (the Giralda, the architecture, the bullfighting traditions). Skip the self-guided audioguide; a real person contextualizes what you're seeing.
The cooking classes, cathedral visits, and white village day trips work well for families. Check before you go on age requirements for bullring tours and whether specific accommodations on multi-day packages suit your group.

Seville is where Andalusia's romance actually lives - flamenco-steeped streets, a cathedral that'll stop you mid-breath, and tapas bars where locals outnumber tourists. Visitors here book serious culinary classes alongside their sightseeing (paella lessons with expert Q&A are popular), combine the city with nearby white villages and sierra excursions, and rely heavily on private transfers to string together multi-day Andalusian routes. It's a place where you can spend three days exploring just Seville and the pueblos blancos, or go ambitious with two-week journeys that loop into Morocco.
