Madrid tapas and wine tour with rooftop drinks

Immerse yourself in the authentic essence of Madrid with a tapas and wine tour, combining history, taste, and exclusivity. Your gastronomic adventure begins at San Miguel Square, leading you through the renowned tapas hotspots of La Latina, Cava Baja, and Cuchilleros Streets. At your initial stop, savour traditional mushrooms, paired with Asturian-style chorizo slow-cooked in cider or, for vegetarians, Padrón peppers. These are served with your choice of wine, beer, or soft drinks.Relish a guided stroll through the historic Madrid de los Austrias, passing notable landmarks such as Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, the famed Botín Restaurant, Puerta Cerrada, and Huertas Street. Next, just a stone's throw from bustling Huertas Street, you'll find yourself in a cosy "Casa de Comidas" — a revamped traditional bar. Here, you can sample tender Iberian pork cheeks ("Carrilleras") accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and a glass of red wine.Following this, take a leisurely walk through the lively Plaza de Santa Ana, past the historic Teatro Español, absorbing the ambience of one of Madrid’s most animated areas. Your subsequent stop features a classic Gambas al Ajillo — sizzling shrimp with garlic served in an earthenware dish.To conclude this culinary journey, why not ascend to a rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of Madrid? With a glass of sparkling cava in hand, toast to an unforgettable evening and exchange tales with fellow travellers.
