The story of Hiroshima is more than just its post-war recovery. Today’s vibrant city is built upon centuries of rich history and culture dating back to the samurai era.
Away from the usual tourist crowds, we will stroll through quiet neighborhoods and visit charming, traditional shops. We will also visit the Memorial Cathedral of World Peace—a post-war architectural masterpiece.

We will start from Hondori Shopping Arcade, the most prosperous street in Hiroshima. First, we'll provide a brief lecture on what Hiroshima Prefecture is like, followed by a history of Hondori Shopping Arcade and it's highlights while walking.

Ebisu Shrine is a shrine that has been cherished by the local community for about 400 years. It is beloved by the people of Hiroshima as a deity of prosperity in business.

Memorial Cathedral for World Peace was constructed to commemorate the victims of the atomic bombing and to pray for world peace. It is the first post-war building to be designated as a Important Cultural Property.

This is a building that has been preserved and continued to be used as a testament to the traces of the atomic bombing.

Okonomimura is restaurants where you can enjoy Hiroshima's local dish, okonomiyaki. We'll introduce you to what okonomiyaki is, as well as its history. You can also tour inside the building.
