Start in Shinjuku and travel along the Chūō Expressway. Observe as the scenery transitions from urban skyscrapers to residential neighborhoods and, eventually, green mountain landscapes.

Visit Mount Fuji's 5th Station, located at 2,300 m elevation, accessible via the Subaru Line. On the way, observe the surrounding landscape, including possible views of the summit, subject to weather conditions.

Continue to Ōwakudani, a geothermal valley featuring fumaroles and sulfur vents. Here, you can taste a kuro-tamago (at your own expense), an egg cooked in the area's hot springs.

Take the Hakone Ropeway to Lake Ashi. Enjoy the scheduled cruise on the lake to observe the surrounding scenery from the water.
