Explore Stuðlagil Canyon on a guided shore excursion from Seyðisfjörður, with a hike to its striking basalt columns and a stop at Rjúkandi Waterfall.

Leaving Seyðisfjörður, we’ll travel through the countryside of East Iceland and into Jökuldalur Valley. Our first stop is Rjúkandi Waterfall, where we’ll take a short walk to enjoy the views before continuing to Stuðlagil.

At the canyon, we’ll follow the hiking trail along the east side to see the basalt formations up close. Tall columns frame the river, creating one of East Iceland’s most distinctive landscapes. There will be time to take photographs and enjoy the canyon before we walk back to the bus and return to Seyðisfjörður.

Throughout the journey, your local guide will share insights into the landscape and life in East Iceland.

Keep an eye out for the tour's name in the front window of your mini bus, where you will meet your guide. If you are arriving via tender, please select the Tenders Pier as your pickup location. If your ship docks directly at the cruise port, you can select the designated Tanni Travel Cruise Ship Pickup as your pickup location.
