Your adventure starts by meeting our friendly guides who will give you all the gear you need, like helmets and glacier crampons for your boots, and show you how to use them safely. First, we take a short walk along the glacier lagoon, across black volcanic sand toward the glacier. Along the way, your guide will tell you how the ice is changing and how it shaped the land. It is a great way to see how nature works in Iceland.Once we step onto the glacier, you will see a world of bright blue and white, contrasted with the black volcanic ash. You will walk past deep cracks in the ice called crevasses and see moulins, which are cool holes that go deep down into the glacier. You will even see black volcanic ash from old eruptions frozen inside the ice. This is a fun, safe, and exciting way to explore a natural wonder. It’s an adventure you will always remember with our friendly team keeping you safe and telling fun stories along the way.
