Pompeii: Day Trip From Naples

Meet at the designated point for the trip to Pompeii, an ancient Roman city destroyed by Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. A professional licensed tour guide will show you the everyday life and customs of this historic city and its people.

During Rome's control, Pompeii became a municipium and later a colony called "Veneria Cornelia Pompeianorum." It served as a vacation spot for Roman nobles, and many families supportive of Augustus built structures like the Temple of Fortuna Augusta and the Eumachia Building.

Walk along Via Dell'Abbondanza, a street lined with restaurants, bars, bakeries, carpenter shops, laundries, and greengrocers. This bustling road near the Forum and the Comitium was a central part of daily life in Pompeii.
