Handmade Yoshino Washi Experience in Nara

You will use fibers from the bark of the Kozo (mulberry) tree to create your own paper. Under the direct guidance of a master craftsman, you will learn authentic papermaking techniques using a traditional "Sudare" bamboo screen. We will guide you gently through every step, so even beginners can join with confidence. ・This course can be booked for groups of two or more. ・Participants must be able to work while standing. ・Your arms will get wet, so please wear clothes with sleeves that can be rolled up. ・Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet. ・You may feel some itchiness when touching the paper materials, but this usually improves after washing them off.
