After meeting your tour conductor, depart from Sendai and travel to Ginzan Onsen. This charming hot spring town is famous for its traditional wooden inns lining the Ginzan River, creating a nostalgic streetscape that has become one of Japan's most photographed hot spring destinations. During your approximately 60-minute stay, you can stroll through the atmospheric streets, browse local shops, visit cafés, or relax at the public footbath overlooking the river. The town's historic architecture and picturesque setting make it a popular destination for photography and leisurely exploration.
Unlike a typical fireworks festival, this event is built around the theme of Japan's Sengoku period. Fireworks, music, narration, and samurai performances are combined to recreate stories inspired by the historic Keicho Dewa Campaign, producing a dramatic and immersive show unique to Yonezawa. You will watch the festival from an included paid viewing area, providing a comfortable setting to enjoy the performance. Approximately 8,000 fireworks are scheduled to illuminate the autumn night sky, accompanied by appearances from samurai performance groups gathered from across Japan. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 PM. Please note that viewing is from concrete bench seating on the third-base side of Yonezawa Municipal Baseball Stadium. After the fireworks display, begin the return journey to Sendai. The tour concludes at approximately 10:20 PM.
