Cesenatico Maritime Museum and Marino Moretti House

Explore the Maritime Museum in Cesenatico. Enjoy the large arsenal: admire the boats in all their ancient splendour, imagine them sailing the Adriatic Sea, exploring the Land Section of the Museum, and observe them in action thanks to the Floating Section, composed from ten boats. An extraordinary journey through the life of seafarers: you can lower a sail with your own hands, discover the knots used on boats or learn the secrets of maneuvers and navigation towards the horizon. Discover the ancient origins of the seaside village of Cesenatico not only through sailing boats, but also thanks to the archaeological finds and remains, which testify to the numerous Roman settlements in the area and the mysterious Ad Novas.

Marino Moretti's house, thanks to the will of the poet, was bequeathed to the city of Cesenatico and, intact in its structure, has thus become a museum for posterity. A unique atmosphere, where it is still possible to perceive the emotions, memories and vicissitudes that inspired the writer so much and that he translated into his literature. Here the furnishings, objects, books and autographed papers speak of the poet and form a "living archive" capable of involving and surprising all its visitors.
