Walk through the intricately constructed and connected tunnels that run beneath Naples on this guided tour of the Bourbon Tunnel.

Your experience

Explore the history of Naples in the best possible manner, from underground.

The path enables you to view the Bourbon Gallery, regarded as the crowning achievement of Bourbon civil engineering, and appreciate it as a genuine piece of art. This tunnel demonstrates the unique technological solutions used by the designer Errico Alvino and the geological issues that arose during the excavation's execution. Go through areas that reflect the Bull Aqueduct's Renaissance characteristics.

Walk through areas that served as a war shelter during the Second World War and view huge fragments of statues, motorcycles, and vintage cars from that era. During World War II, the tunnels were used by the residents as a military hospital and later the Hall Judicial Deposit. Catch sight of cisterns that have been preserved but were used to safeguard thousands of Neapolitans during World War II.

With an expert English or Italian-speaking guide, explore the underground history of the city of Naples as you make your way through the Bourbon Tunnel with an entry ticket.
Unveil 4 centuries of the history of Naples including the remains of World War II and huge fragments of vintage cars and motorcycles from this era.
Admire the bridges and the walls built to cross the cisterns while preserving their functionality and get to see the bomb shelter cleverly used during the World War.
Fun fact: The tunnel was built by the ruling Bourbon King to connect the Royal Palace with the military barracks, allowing the royal family to quickly move troops and secretly escape in the event of a rebellion.
