Our excursion starts at the view point of Korčula, where you can take a couple of photos. The first vinyards we are going to visit are situated in Lumbarda and are famous for Grk, an autochtonous wine sort.. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort. You will have the opportunity to taste Grk at a local winery. Then we drive through the interior of the island, passing the villages of Žrnovo and Pupnat, Pupnatska Luka, one of the most beautiful bays on the island. We continue our trip towards Čara and Smokvica, where you will be able to see vineyards. After the tour through the fields you will get the chance to try Pošip and other wines at two most prominent wineries. On our way to Korčula we will drive along the north-west coast of the island passing a couple of fantastic view points which make an additional proof of how beautiful the island is.

This is my favorite tour. The tour shows the most important art and cultural heritage Korčula preserved to this day and I am proud I can show it and explain it to my guests. Art is a universal language and Korčula will speak to you in its own, beautiful and unique. The tour is focused on Korčula's history, selected art collections and artworks by Marko Andrijić, a local artist who lived in the 15th and 16th centuries. This is a no - rush tour, with art and history presented in a popular way, easy to follow and understand. The tour is intended for travelers who want to acquire knowledge about the places they travel to and leave with the lasting memories. Guests will also hear about Marco Polo, the well known and most controversial traveler of all time. His connection with Korčula is, well, complicated. I was born and raised in Korčula and I live here. I love Korčula, art and history, so I guide about what I love. Welcome to Korčula :-)

Private guides, VIP access, after-hours tours, premium small-group

This tour is a mix of walking in the countryside and a morning routine in a little Mediterranean town. We will enjoy the views of Korčula from east and west and walk in nature where scents and sounds tell the story of an island named after its forests. On our route we will stop at a few places hidden from the usual tourist paths and you'll hear about local culture, history and customs. In fact, you 'll be one of 1% percent of visitors who will have seen some of them. A short visit to the fish and green market will give you a better idea about what we locals eat. Towards the end of the tour, we will buy a few home- made traditional cookies and have a cup of coffee at my favorite café. Having time to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends every day is a privilege of life in a small town. And I love meeting new people, so I am looking for a chance to have a cup of coffee and a little chat. At the end, you will be ready for the day ahead, energised and relaxed. Welcome to Korčula :-)

Common questions about booking Korcula experiences through SimilarTours
Yes, especially for the activities people actually do here. Private boat days to Hvar, guided hikes on the island, and multi-day trips into Bosnia all work better with someone who knows the coast, the weather windows, and which beaches are worth the detour. You'll spend less time figuring out logistics and more time swimming or hiking.
Private yacht excursions and multi-day Bosnia tours can fill up weeks in advance, particularly in summer. Book at least 3-4 weeks out if you're traveling June through August, earlier if you have fixed dates.
May, June, September, and October offer warm weather, calmer seas for boat trips, and fewer crowds than July-August. If you're interested in bird watching or wildlife photography, spring and autumn migrations bring the most activity.
Most visitors book a private transfer from Orebic (the nearest port) - it's about 2-3 hours to either airport depending on which one you need. Check before you go for current drive times and pickup logistics with your driver.
Yes, and many people book 2 or 3-day private tours that cross the border. A driver and guide handle the route and paperwork, which makes it straightforward even if you've never been.
You'll typically get a boat and skipper for 8-10 hours, with stops for swimming, snorkeling, or exploring coastal villages. Lunch is sometimes included, sometimes not - check the details of your booking. The boat can anchor at smaller beaches and quieter spots that larger tours can't reach.
The old town is walkable and charming, but if you want to explore beyond the main area - hiking trails, secret beaches, nearby islands - you'll want a private guide or rental vehicle. Most people book guided experiences rather than going solo.

Croatia
Korcula is a slender, pine-covered island off the Dalmatian coast where most visitors come for exactly what you can't do at home - private yacht days to Hvar, hiking and e-biking through oak forests, or longer explorations into Bosnia's interior. The town itself has medieval streets and decent wine, but the real draw is booking a private guide or boat for a day or three. You'll hire a driver for airport runs to Dubrovnik or Split, take a boat out for bird watching, swim at secret beaches no one else knows about. It's the kind of place where going solo or with a small group - and having someone who knows which island to hit - makes all the difference.
