The fields, timing, and entire flow are prepared exclusively for your group. Begin with the “Leek Trail,” walking through the fields while learning how wind, snow, soil, and the surrounding mountains shape Aomori’s famous leeks. Discover why farmers cover leeks with soil to make them white and sweet, and how nature and human skill work together. Next, harvest leeks directly from the field. Your host, Tomoki, left his family’s rice farm to pursue leek farming, training near Tokyo before building his own fields from scratch. Today, his leeks sell out every year thanks to his commitment to quality. The highlight is the Leek BBQ. Grill freshly harvested leeks over charcoal, peel away the charred outer layer, and enjoy their sweet, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Depending on the atmosphere, they may also be served with miso, as ajillo, or in yakisoba while sharing stories with the farmer around the fire. The evening plan includes BBQ under the stars and alcoholic drinks. Optional field camping is also available.
Let’s meet at Mutsu-Tsuruta Station on the JR Gono Line. There is only one ticket gate, so it’s easy to find. Our staff will be waiting outside the wooden station building.
