Each participant commands their own purpose-built sled, designed for maneuverability and comfort. You’ll paddle, navigate obstacles, and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings at your own pace. Begin your journey at the Warburton football oval, where a briefing and upstream shuttle await. Perfect for adventurers aged 8 and up, this experience promises a unique blend of fun and physical challenge in a beautiful outdoor setting.
This 2-hour journey covers 3 km downstream, winding through bends and rapids, with a mix of relaxed floats and active sections that call for paddling, maneuvering, and agility. Your adventure starts at the Warburton oval with a briefing and demo, followed by a shuttle upstream. From there, you’ll have up to 1.5 hours to explore the river at your own pace. Our purpose-built sleds are 2m long, nearly indestructible, designed for shallow rivers, easy to control, sized for adults, and suitable for kids 8+. This is a truly Australian adventure not to be missed, but remember—the Yarra is a real river, not a theme park. Conditions vary daily, and natural obstacles like rocks, branches, and logs may require paddling or standing to navigate. If you’re not a confident swimmer, consider hiring a river guide. All participants must be able to swim. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult or river guide. Wear closed-toe shoes or water booties, and PFDs are mandatory for weak swimmers and recommended for children.
Meet us at the Warburton oval near the Warburton Cricket Club, 3455-3457 Warburton Hwy and Bramich Bridge. Look out for our ‘Meeting Point’ sign, and our van and trailer full of sleds and tubes.
