Getting started
Start your visit by entering the Palace of Versailles with hosted or skip-the-line access, depending on the option you select. Meet your professional guide at the designated group entry and collect your audio headset or radio device so you can hear commentary clearly throughout the visit. Your guided tour of the main palace lasts around 90 minutes or 2 hours, after which you can continue exploring on your own where included.
What to expect
Palace of Versailles
Your guided tour focuses on the Grand Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors, with time to appreciate how Versailles functioned as the center of French royal power.

• Visit the Grand Apartments with a guided tour of the State Apartments and Grand Apartment, where your guide explains the role of each ceremonial room in court life.
• Spend time in the Hall of Mirrors, using your skip-the-line access to the Grand Apartments and Hall of Mirrors to move past the regular queues and make the most of your guided time.
• Benefit from a small-group tour, with a maximum of 20 guests, hosted priority access to the palace, and clear commentary through audio headsets or eco-friendly radio devices, depending on your selected option.
• Join a professional guide who leads the tour in one of several languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, or Mandarin, as per the option you select.
Versailles gardens and estate
Beyond the main palace, your ticket options extend your visit into the wider Versailles estate, including its formal gardens and satellite residences.
Features
• Access the palace gardens for a self-guided visit from October to March, or, between April and October, enjoy access to the Fountain or Musical show or Musical Fountains days where included in your option.
• Explore the Trianon Estate at your own pace, with skip-the-line access to the gardens and Trianon Estate on selected tickets, giving you more time inside the Grand and Petit Trianon areas.
• Visit the Gallery of Coaches and the Royal Tennis Court, as well as temporary exhibitions, when these are included in your ticket type, rounding out your understanding of Versailles beyond the main state rooms.
King’s private apartments and royal spaces
Some options add exclusive areas of the palace that are not part of standard public visits.
Features
• Gain exclusive access to the King’s private apartments on a 90-minute guided tour if you select this option, visiting rooms that are otherwise closed to general visitors.
• On certain exclusive tickets, follow your guide into the Royal Chapel or Royal Opera, accessible only when specified in your ticket, for a closer look at these ceremonial spaces.
• Use skip-the-line access at the end of the private apartment tour to re-enter the Grand Apartment and Hall of Mirrors, so you can see these iconic rooms again with a smaller crowd where this is part of your chosen option.
