In Japan, it is customary to wear socks when visiting a traditional Japanese house. If you arrive barefoot, socks will be available for you at an additional fee.
To preserve the subtle fragrance of incense used during the ceremony, please refrain from wearing perfume or any strongly scented products.
Flash photography and tripods are not allowed.
Traditional Japanese clothing rentals are available. Women can select a two-piece kimono, while men can choose a samue.
