Ifestia Festival firework show and sunset cruise

You'll set sail on a sunset cruise that takes you right to the heart of Santorini's most spectacular annual event, the Ifestia Festival, on this trip. As you glide across the caldera's waters, you'll watch a reenactment of a volcanic eruption that brings the island's history to life. Flames light up the cliffsides in a fiery display that's both thrilling and unforgettable, all while you're surrounded by the views that make Santorini so special. It's the perfect way to experience this unique celebration from the best vantage point on the water. Dion, one of our expert local guides, says “the eruption the show recreates happened in the 1950s, and the island has hosted a festival to remember it since 1991. More recently, they've started incorporating more drone light shows as well as fireworks.”After the show, your evening continues with a stop at Thirassia Island, where you'll tuck into a traditional dinner made up of dishes the locals eat on the daily. Before or after your meal, you'll have the chance to take a dip in the nearby thermal springs – these naturally warm waters are ideal for relaxing and soaking up the island atmosphere. The combination of great food, swimming, and island exploration makes this part of the cruise just as memorable as the festival itself, giving you a real taste of local life away from the crowds. As dusk settles over the caldera, weather permitting, you'll watch the sky transform into a canvas of reds and golds as the sun goes down. The sunset creates a beautiful backdrop that perfectly complements Santorini's landscape, with the white-washed villages perched on the cliffs catching the last of the light – photographers, you know what that means. It's a lovely end to an evening that captures everything that makes this Greek island so captivating and worth visiting.
