Heidelberg: 2-hour guided, entertaining castle tour

Our joint adventure begins at the central meeting point at the Castle Visitor Center. From here we set off to bring the stone witnesses of the past to life. First, the path leads us to the elegant English building, whose magnificent architecture speaks of great times. Here you get a first impression of the moving history of this imposing facility. A few steps later, we stand before the romantic Elizabeth Gate – a legendary stone testament to love that will immediately captivate you. Here you feel the deep romance that makes this place so unique. It continues to the monumental, blown-up cabbage tower. Its mighty walls whisper dramatic stories of destruction and endurance to us. We pause to let the impressive energy of this historic place affect us.

• Option 1 (Courtyard & Giant Barrel): We enter the heart of the complex. In the magnificent castle courtyard, the legendary Great Barrel awaits you – an absolute highlight full of wonder! Of course, you'll find the story about it here too. Also get to know the barrel keeper - Perkeo. (Note: An additional admission fee applies for the inner courtyard). Your tour ends on the large terrace. • Option 2 (Palatine Garden): We stroll together through the extensive Hortus Palatinus. On the terraces of the garden complex, you enjoy the world-famous postcard view over the Neckar and the old town. Our tip: The admission to the castle courtyard is already included with the purchase of a mountain cable car ticket.
