Mezquite Canon Hike

This experience combines scenic desert landscapes, natural pools, and breathtaking canyon views—all guided by a local expert. Your journey begins with convenient pickup from your hotel in Loreto. From there, we take a relaxing 30-minute drive south to the trailhead, where your adventure into the desert begins. The hike starts along a sandy arroyo, surrounded by towering cacti and rugged desert terrain. After approximately 2 kilometers, the trail leads into a stunning slot canyon. As you make your way through, you’ll encounter a series of crystal-clear natural water pools—perfect for cooling off and enjoying one of Baja’s best-kept secrets. Upon reaching the top of the canyon, take a well-deserved break and enjoy a freshly prepared burritos and cold bottled water while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. After about 45 minutes of relaxation, the return hike takes you along the top of the canyon, offering panoramic views of the vast desert.
