Learn to surf in stunning Anglesea, right on Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road! This laid-back coastal gem is home to safe, sheltered beaches—perfect for first-time surfers. With ideal beginner-friendly waves, you’ll be up and riding in waist-deep water alongside expert instructors who double as surf lifesavers. We’ll hook you up with a soft-top board and a wetsuit, so all you need to bring is your energy and excitement. Get ready for an epic day of fun, waves, and unforgettable memories!
Walk with the instructor onto the beach and begin with some basic safety and instruction before catching your first few waves in waist deep water. You will return to the beach for more detailed instruction about how to stand up and then spend the rest of the time in the water with your instructor helping everyone to stand up on their surf board. Return to the shop to shower and change at the end of the lesson.
Drive along the Great ocean Road into Anglesea. Cross the bridge over the river, and along beside the river for about 500 meters when the road takes a sharp turn to the right before going up the hill. See the Go Ride A Wave shop in the group of shops on the corner. Take a U Turn into the car park.
