Boudhanath is a giant mandala enshrined with symbols of enlightenment. The five elements of earth, water, space, fire, and air are engraved in the architecture. As you enter by the gates, you'll see Boudhnanath Stupa surrounded by 16 sided wall. Around the stupa, you'll get glimpses of monks praying. There are monasteries located near the stupa, like Shechen Monastery. Similarly, the area consists of broad areas with cafes and restaurants. Tourists love to visit the restaurants and enjoy peace as it directly faces the Boudhanath Stupa. The main activity here is circulating the stupa clockwise direction, chanting "Om Mani Padme Hum."
This is the largest temple in Nepal. Pashupatinath Temple is a blend of cultural and spiritual significance. It consists of 492 temples, 15 Lord Shiva shrines, and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines), which your guide will take you. The architectural significance is beautiful.
