Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights

ving to 82, We pack all our equipment and continue to begin our trek through the stunning Andean landscape, passing the ancient Inca ruins and breathtaking mountain scenery. As we trek further along the Inca Trail, we will immerse ourselves in the rich history and natural beauty of this iconic route. In the afternoon, we will continue hiking to Ayapata, the first night camping spot, where we will set up our tents and enjoy our delicious dinner and sleep under the starlit sky, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

With luck, we will see tiny hummingbirds, falcons, and black-chested buzzard eagles, or perhaps we will see the king of the Andean heights, the condor, respected and venerated at Andean ceremonies. We will arrive at Llulluchapampa at 4 pm, approximately to our campsite located at 3,800 meters above sea level with a spectacular view of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.

We will steadily ascend to Warmiwañusqa, the most challenging and extended Inca Trail climb at 4,200 m (13,692 ft). From there, we will continue on to the second pass at Runkurakay before descending to our campsite of Phuyupatamarca with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

We continue hiking until we reach the Sun Gate, where we will have our first panoramic view of Machu Picchu and then descend into the ancient city itself. After exploring Machu Picchu, we will have some free time to wander around before heading back to Ollantaytambo and then Cusco.

As we walk through the ruins, we will learn about the fascinating history and culture of the Inca civilization that once thrived here.
