Today is a free day, with a range of activities for guests to choose from (weather permitting): Fans of trekking can enjoy a 4-5 hour journey into Algonquin's deep wilderness on the Centennial Ridges Trail. The trail is 10km long, and well known for wildlife spottings. As another option, campers may choose to rent bicycles (cruisers, mountain bikes, fat tires) (*cost excluded) and ride out on the Old Railway Bike Trail. This path follows a section of discarded railway line, now shrouded in trees. 16km long from end to end, it's rated Easy, and is suitable for young children.
9 Km south of Km 40.3 of Highway 60, Canada
Begin the day with one of Algonquin's most beautiful hikes. Booth's Rock Trail is a 2 hour 5.1 km loop trail that visits two lakes and an amazing lookout, then returning along an abandoned railway. *It is recommended that those with mobility issues do a shorter version of this hike
Opeongo Road, Canada
Campers will have the opportunity to canoe or kayak on Lake Opeongo -the largest of Algonquin's 1,500 lakes
Groups will meet in the Loblaws parking lot. Look for a dark blue, Lake Fever branded van and trailer. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out waivers.
