Naples Shore Excursion: Sorrento and Amalfi Coast Independent Day Trip from Naples

When your cruise ship docks at Naples, meet your driver at the port and hop into your air-conditioned minivan with the rest of your small group. Then, travel south to Sorrento, the cliff-top resort that’s a gateway to the UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast, a 40-mile (64-km) stretch shore typified by steep cliffs and confetti-colored villages. On arrival, enjoy an hour of free time to explore picturesque Sorrento as you wish. Perhaps stroll the tangled lanes, enjoy the bars and shops in the central square, Piazza Tasso, or admire the 15th-century cathedral — it’s wholly up to you.

Rejoin your minibus and have your camera ready as you drive along the Amalfi Coast, following the cliff roads between lemon groves and the shimmering Mediterranean below.
