Modelling your clay dreams, Potter's wheel workshop in Grottaglie

In this immersive experience, you and your companions will discover the art of pottery directly at the source, in a studio located inside an ancient underground oil mill, nestled in the heart of Grottaglie's Ceramics District. Guided step by step, you will learn how to shape clay on the potter's wheel, creating objects such as small vases, plates or bowls with your own hands. No experience is required: we will take you through each step, from the introduction to the materials to the realisation of your first creation. This experience is not just a workshop: it is a journey into the Apulian handicraft tradition, allowing you to get in touch with an ancient practice in a cosy and inspired environment, through a unique experience that few travellers have the opportunity to live. Unfortunately, our studio is not wheelchair-accessible - being a historic building, the only way to access the underground oil mill is via a stone staircase with 12 steps.
