On the way up the first stop will be at Pináculo, 280m above sea level and located on the edge of a cliff. Travel on through to Garajau, set at the east end of the bay of Funchal. You will be offered a spectacular view of the "Christ the Redeemer" statue (older than the one in Brazil), whilst marveling at the crystal-clear waters below.
