The Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu is one of the most unique ways to reach this iconic destination. Here, you'll receive all the important information, gear instructions, and have the chance to ask any questions to ensure you're fully prepared for the journey ahead. START - 07:00 AM. At 7:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the adventure by minibus, heading as a group toward the Sacred Valley, passing through the villages of Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. We will arrive at Abra Málaga, the starting point where you can admire the snowy peak of Huacay Willca (Verónica). Then, it’s time to gear up and begin the mountain बाइक route toward the archaeological site of Huaman Marca, where we’ll stop for lunch. This 34.18-mile (55 km) route takes about 3 hours, offering an adrenaline-filled descent from 14,272 ft (4,350 m) to 3,937 ft (1,200 m), delivering an unforgettable downhill experience.
Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a rafting experience on the white river (included in your reservation). You’ll also have some free time in the afternoon to relax and explore the town, where you can purchase snacks or drinks. Later, we’ll head to a local restaurant for dinner before spending the night in a family-run hostel.
This one-hour trek follows part of the Inca Trail, known as the Qhapaq Ñan. Along the way, you’ll pass plantations of coffee, cocoa, and yucca, while spotting a variety of birds such as hummingbirds and parrots, as the surroundings shift into a lush, tropical ecosystem.
Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Cocalmayo hot springs—one of the highlights of the day—where you can relax in a natural hot bath surrounded by beautiful scenery. Once in Santa Teresa, you’ll have free time to try ziplining or take a stroll through town and enjoy a drink at one of the local bars. Later, we’ll gather for dinner at a local restaurant before spending the night in our exclusive Sky Lodge Domes.
After about two hours, we’ll reach a series of waterfalls fed by glacier melt, where you’ll have time to rest and take in the surroundings. Upon reaching Hidroelectrica, we’ll enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant to recharge before the final stage of the trek: a 5.59-mile (9 km) walk along the train tracks that lead to Machu Picchu. This route runs through a stunning valley, where the landscape has transformed into lush high jungle, offering a unique and scenic experience along the way.
oy some free time to explore the town, visit the local market, or relax in the hot springs (approx. $5.00). In the afternoon, we’ll regroup to enjoy dinner together and review the plan for the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu with your guide. Later in the evening, we’ll have dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the lodge for the night.

After the guided visit, you’ll have free time to continue discovering the site at your own pace. If included in your booking, you can also access the optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for even more incredible views.

Upon arrival at the station, a transfer will be waiting to take us back to central Cusco, with an estimated arrival around 10:30 PM. Please note that the exact train times and access to Machu Picchu depend on availability and will be confirmed once your reservation is finalized.
