Hike up to the highest peak in Busan (801m) and would appreciate the panoramic view of Busan and surrounding area from the top. Also you can visit historic Beomeosa temple established in 678 in the mountain as well as the largest mountain fortress in Korea, Geumjeongsanseong.
The hike starts from Beomeosa temple which is about 300m from sea level. It takes about 1hour to 1hour and 30 minutes (2.2 km = 1.36 mile) to reach the highest peak of Busan (Godangbong 801m from sea level). Have enough time to enjoy the scenic view of Busan and surrounding area from the top. Head down to North gate of mountain fortress followed by fortress wall. On the way down, we are going to see the marvelous cavity on a huge granite rock known as Geumsaem(Golden pond), where the name of the mountain and Beomeosa temple were originated. Pass through historic North gate, we head down to the Beomeosa temple.
