For years I worked at Fairmount Cemetery. I managed the flower shop which was then located in the building that used to be the old train station which brought the mourners there. These affluent Denverites left large amounts of money in endowments for perpetual care of their graves. I heard the stories and the history of all these people. I feel like I know them. Please join me as I walk the streets where they lived. Let me tell you all the history I have learned and all the juicy stories I have heard…

These historic mansions act as a facade for restless spirits. In the late 1800’s the wealthy of Denver flocked to “Millionaires Row” on “Quality Hill,” where they outdid each other, constructing luxurious mansions. Architecture that incorporated a variety of classical styles was noted for its flamboyance became known as the “Denver Style.” Each owner whimsically added turrets, spires and porches and the finished home rarely bore any resemblance to the original design. We will look at these beautiful homes that still remain and you will hear the history and stories associated with them and the echoes of the spirits that are said to dwell here.

This former hotel became the playground of the Hollywood elite, as well as eccentric poets, such as Jack Kerouac (famous writer of the book and movie, entitled "On the Road"), Neil Cassidy, Allen Ginsberg, and James Burroughs. Stories of haunts are often talked about, by former and current employees of the notorious Denver bar, Charlie Brown's, which is located on property. Since 1928 this bar has virtually stayed the same. This is one of the favorite stops for the likes of Bill Murray and Tony Bennett. I shall tell you all the history and stories about this place and our tour ends here... may I suggest a cocktail in the haunted bar...
