The Bamboo Lantern Workshop offers a unique experience to enjoy traditional Japanese bamboo craftsmanship in a peaceful space, away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Its excellent location, just a short distance from the attractive Ginza area, is another highlight. With the careful guidance of skilled artisans, even beginners can comfortably create their own bamboo lanterns or chopsticks. The finished pieces will serve as special memories of your trip to Japan and treasured gifts for loved ones. The workshop also offers English support, so international guests can join with confidence. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the calming atmosphere of Japan's traditional culture in the heart of the city.
For the bamboo lantern-making, you will drill holes in the bamboo to create light. Design examples and templates are provided, so you can decide on your design on the spot. In the chopstick-making experience, you can create chopsticks in your preferred length, thickness, and shape. You will shave them with a plane and finish them with sandpaper. After finishing, you can also add custom engravings, such as letters. Both experiences do not require much strength, so children can also participate and create their own pieces.
The event space is located at the back of the restaurant.
