This activity is an alternative way to experience the unique culture and natural beauty of Crete! Just imagine standing on top of Stroumboulas Mountain, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle Aegean breeze blowing through your hair as you watch the city of Heraklion unfold below you! As well as learning about the history and traditions of this impressive place, you will also have the opportunity to sample the delicious local snacks and get to know the vibrant culture of Crete. There is so much more to explore on this beautiful island without having to queue or feel crowded. Together we can discover hidden gems off the beaten track and learn about the local way of life!

I will provide local Cretan snacks such as Greek yogurt with Honey and the famous "Ntakos" (Rusk with grated tomatoes, feta cheese, olive oil and oregano)

The activity starts in the plains of Stroumboula, where you will have the opport
unity to see the stunning mountain peaks of outdoor Crete and enjoy its rich flora. The climb takes 45–60 minutes, with several stops for rest, photos, and discussions related to the history and traditions of the place. No professional equipment is needed, as everyone can climb with suitable shoes. Upon reaching the top of Stroumboula, you will see a historic church and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea, the city of Heraklion, and the mountainous landscape of Crete. Once we are at an altitude of 798 meters, you will have plenty of time to take photos, tour the surrounding area of the mountain's peak, and taste the traditional Cretan delicacies.

The meeting point is located inside a large parking lot of the Sklavenitis shop, opposite a car wash shop called Let's Wash. You can spot me by the red color of my Nissan Micra.
