on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu. Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was cut from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan in the hopes of calming the turbulent waters of the three rivers that flow together under its gaze. Stairs are carved into the cliff that connect the area at the Buddha's feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from a range of vantage points. Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan's skyline. Upon arrival in Leshan, we have lunch at a restaurant within sight the Giant Buddha. We'll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha's head. Wen then pay a visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum and get a deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the carving of the Giant Buddha.

The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple in Ming Dynasty and was originally named the Hui Zong Hall, with an intension of gathering Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoist. In early Qing Dynasty, the Hui Zong Hall was moved to the actual residence and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to "Bao Guo" which literally translates as "serve the nation".

8:00am then head to Emei mountain tickets office. Today is a full day visiting on Emeishan. Firstly, take sightseeing bus to the upper station and need 2hrs driving and due to the mountain zig raod, try to sit in front the part bus and drinking less water in the morning. The Mount Emei (Emeishan) is not only famous as World Heritage Site of both culture and nature, but also known as one of the Four Great Buddhist Mountains in China and home to 5000 kinds of plants (more than the total plants of Europe) and over 2300 kinds of wild animals. It is ideal place for hiking, Buddhist culture exploration, photography, winter holiday, summer hot retreat, and suitable for visiting all year around.
