See orangutans in the rainforest at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. This unique wildlife sanctuary specializes in caring for baby orphan orangutans and teaches them the survival skills they would have learned from their mothers under normal conditions. The young orangutans are not kept in captivity, but rather come and go as they please while adjusting to their natural habitat. Lunch and a city tour of Sandakan are included. For 2 days, you will enjoy learning how to set up weaving equipment and materials, and will spend most of your time weaving (blank) until it is completed. The Chanteek Borneo Gallery is home to an exhibition of about 300 dolls of 48 ethnic costumes and its collection is constantly growing. Anne Antah, the owner, began making these dolls in 2011 as a hobby before opening the gallery once the number of her dolls became large enough. The gallery explains the history and culture of all the indigenous tribes of Sabah, told in an interesting way through these traditional costumes.
