Common questions about booking Goa experiences through SimilarTours
October through March offers dry, warm weather and calm seas - perfect for both beach time and longer inland tours. April to September brings heavy monsoon rains, though prices drop and the landscape turns lush. If you're combining yoga training with travel, book during the cooler months when you'll want to be outdoors exploring.
Popular private tours that include flights sell out 2-3 weeks ahead during peak season (November-January). If you're flexible on dates, booking 3-4 weeks early gives you better choice. For yoga trainings lasting weeks, secure your spot at least a month before.
Yes, if you value time. Flying from Goa saves 12-15 hours of overland travel compared to starting from Mumbai or Delhi, and private guides handle logistics so you're not coordinating buses and hotels. You pay for convenience and local expertise, not just transportation.
If you're staying put, stick with Goa-based accommodation. But most travellers booking Taj Mahal or Hampi tours choose the all-in packages with flights and hotels - you save on logistics and see more ground. Check what's included before you book; some tours cover hotels, others just transport.
Absolutely. Many people do 100-hour yin yoga trainings in Goa over 2-3 weeks, then book a private Taj Mahal or Golden Triangle tour. Just schedule your tour after training finishes so you're not juggling both at once.
Local transport is cheap and available (taxis, rickshaws, scooter rentals), but negotiating prices and navigating between beach towns takes time. For beach hopping and casual exploration, independent travel works fine. For anything inland or multi-day, a private tour removes friction.
Both work here - many yoga trainings attract solo travellers, while private tours accommodate families with kids. Check the tour description for group size and comfort level before you go, especially for flights and longer drives with young children.

India
Goa works as a launchpad for India's interior as much as a beach destination. Travellers here book serious yoga trainings alongside multi-day private tours that swing inland to the Taj Mahal, the temples of Hampi, and the forts scattered across the Deccan plateau. You'll find people doing 100 or 200-hour yoga certifications while others fly out for overnight Taj excursions or week-long journeys through Karnataka's archaeological sites. It's the kind of place where you can spend a week on the sand, then book a flight north and see three states in as many days.
