Everyone loves coffee. But how is it grown and processed? Tanzania is exporting coffee and many people are working with it so you can enjoy it. On our trip you will learn the long journey of the coffee from seed to cup. The farm delivering coffee to us is all organic and Fairtrade. Why is that important? Usually the farmers gets a low payment for the coffee. Sometimes its not enough to get their children to school. We pay the farmers 3 times the normal price. The coffee trees are not sprayed with any chemicals making it safer for the farmer and more healthy for us drinking the end product. Dont miss this opportunity to learn about coffee.

RECORDED the MOST peaceful place in east Africa. A place called Lake Duluti in the Arusha area of Tanzania. Lake Duluti use to be a mountain sitting between Mt. Meru and the Great Mt. Kilimanjaro ⛰ but collapsed and is now a crater lake, diving as deep as 700 kilometers at the center. During our canoe ride we learned that Lake Duluti inhabits a plethora of birds and blue monkeys who live and swing through and live in the canopies. The sounds of the lake are of those that are almost completely foreign to the ears of a city boy. And simply to have two working eyes could easily become the greatest gift in the world..

We offer superior service, route planning, and high-end equipment to ensure your trek is hassle free and that you’ll summit successfully. We started out as a Kilimanjaro trekking company, and has been leading climbs up Kili and Meru for almost twenty years. Mountaineering support remains a key part of our business. Duma’s recommended option, the Northern Circuit climb circles the mountain, and is the least traveled route on Kili. You’ll start in the west, circle around to the north, and ascend via Marangu on the east. You’ll then descend via the south, so you’ll see the entire mountain during your trek. This route provides the most comprehensive views of the mountain and crosses other climb routes, including Lemosho, Rongai, Marangu, and Mweka routes. The longer 8 day climb allows for greater acclimatization and as such, high summit success rates.

When many of us dream of an African Safari adventure, it’s the Serengeti our minds turn to, exotic images of megafauna roaming the African plains, left to their natural devices in fifteen thousand square kilometres of national park, an animal lover's dream come true, all thanks to the plethora of wildlife documentaries that have been filming the dynamic equilibrium of animal interactions within the park for the last eighty years, including David Attenborough, one of the most famous wildlife naturalists in the world. The Serengeti is truly a magical place that is an absolute must for any safari itinerary and due to the logistics of reaching the park, a minimum of two nights is highly recommended.

Common questions about booking Arusha experiences through SimilarTours
The dry seasons - June to October and January to February - offer the clearest game viewing and most comfortable lodging conditions. Book popular tours 2-3 months ahead during peak season; shoulder months give you more flexibility. The wildebeest migration safari tours are particularly sought-after, so plan well in advance if that's your target.
Most people book between 4 and 10 days. A 4-day flying safari works if you're short on time, but 7-9 days lets you experience multiple parks without feeling rushed and often includes a lodge stay rather than just camping. Many tours combine Serengeti game drives with a Zanzibar beach break, which adds another few days.
Yes. Self-driving isn't realistic in these parks - you need a licensed guide who knows animal behavior, park regulations, and where the wildlife actually is. Every tour in the catalog comes with professional guides, and they're what transform a safari from nice views into genuine encounters.
Most multi-day tours include accommodations at a lodge, all meals, game drives with a guide, and park fees. Check before you go on whether alcohol, flights between parks, or travel insurance are covered - those details vary between operators. Honeymoon packages often add special touches like private dinners or upgraded suites.
Absolutely - family safari packages are popular here. Most lodges have family rooms or connecting suites, and guides can tailor drives for younger travelers' attention spans. Kids under 5 may find long game drives tiring, so look for tours that balance driving time with lodge activities or shorter safari days.
Most safari tours include road transfers or light aircraft flights to the parks. Flying safaris (4 days) skip the long drives, while standard lodge safaris use 4x4 vehicles - check before you go which your package includes. Arusha itself is compact and walkable, but once you're on safari, you're with your tour operator.

Tanzania
Arusha is Tanzania's safari capital and your launch pad for the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and beyond. Most visitors here book multi-day lodge safaris - think 4 to 11 days of game drives, wildlife encounters, and often a beach extension to Zanzibar. Whether you're after a family adventure, honeymoon romance, or a serious wildlife expedition, the tours departing from Arusha lean heavily toward mid-range to luxury lodges. You'll spend your days spotting lions and wildebeest, your evenings watching sunsets from a lodge veranda.
