After planing, sanding, and applying a food-safe oil finish, you’ll take home a unique keepsake perfect for showcasing delicious Wisconsin cheeses. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. This hands-on activity promises a relaxed atmosphere, making it ideal for friends, families, or couples looking to have fun woodworking together.

What you'll do

Check in, put on an apron and gloves, and get settled at your spot
Choose your hardwood pieces from our selection, and we'll guide you with demos of how to glue and clamp your boards, run it through the planer, sand it smooth, and add mineral oil to make the grain pop. You'll have 2.5 hours to craft your board, listen to music, chat with your group, and get excited to serve your next Wisconsin cheese snack at home. Beverages are available to purchase at our bar to make it a sip and craft experience. When you're done, we'll provide a bag to take your cheese board with you. Enjoy a woodworking escape at our historic studio in Downtown Waukesha!

Go to the Studio. Free parking is available out front on Grand Ave or at the South Street Municipal Parking Ramp nearby on 241 South St for the first 2 hours.
