That's Abyss Pool, one of Yellowstone's deepest hot springs, plunging 53 feet below the surface! It even erupted like a geyser between 1987 and 1992.

Once darkened by heat-loving bacteria, this 30-foot-deep spring changed color when its water temperature increased during the 1990s.

That's Fishing Cone! Early explorers famously caught trout in the lake and dipped them directly into this boiling geyser to cook their dinner!

This fascinating geothermal feature has two vents and once shot water as high as 50 feet into the air. Today, it continues to bubble and steam beside the lake.
