What you'll do

Starting at Passaggio Joyce, where the writer's statue crosses the canal, you'll
open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and follow in literary footsteps. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. Piazza della Borsa sets the tone — the old stock exchange square where Habsburg merchants made fortunes. Riddles trade in neoclassical details. Along the Canal Grande, trivia drifts past moored boats toward the blue-domed church of Sant'Antonio, with James Joyce's Trieste never far away. Then the grand finale: Piazza Unità d'Italia, the largest sea-facing square in Europe, framed by palazzi and open to the Adriatic wind. Roughly two hours, espresso stops encouraged — this is Italy's coffee capital. The leaderboard settles the final standings.
