Out of roughly 700 active sumo wrestlers in Japan today, only about 40 ever reach the elite "Makuuchi" division — and your instructor is one of them. In the heart of Tokyo, spend a remarkable hour learning sumo directly from a wrestler who once stood at the very top of Japan's national sport. "Asa-geiko" is the daily morning training performed inside the heya (sumo stable). We've shaped its essence into a 60-minute experience that welcomes complete beginners. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity. Unlike the traditional dohyo, our ring opens its doors to everyone. Men, women, and children train side by side, making this a favorite among families, couples, and friends. After your session, wrap yourself in a hand-embroidered kesho-mawashi for a photo session worthy of a champion — and take home a shikishi board signed and handprinted by your instructor. Show time(approx. 60 min) 11:00/13:00/15:30/17:00 Fixed schedule. Late arrivals will shorten/cancel your experience. Rescheduling depends on availability & is not guaranteed. Arrive 10 mins early.
