The Race of the Sardine

Every year, between November and December, thousands of sardines reach the warm waters of the Mexican Pacific. This biological phenomenon, which only occurs for a few weeks, attracts an impressive concentration of marine predators that you would normally only see in wildlife documentaries. During this event, you will witness the incredible interaction of species such as striped marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, goldenfin, dolphins, sea lions and even whales, all working together to hunt sardines in a feeding frenzy. Our ocean safari lasts approximately 7 hours, during which we will sail in search of the famous bait balls and dive with snorkeling or free diving equipment to take a close look at this amazing underwater spectacle.
