What you'll do

This is simple introduction for a first time surfer or someone who has tried surfing a few times and needs some pointers
The instruction starts with beach lesson reviewing how to position yourself on the board, paddling techniques and proper stance. Once in the water students will get pointers on maneuvering waves, balance techniques and surf etiquette. We will take a lunch break mid-day. Guests can relax on the sand and enjoy drinks and food while recharging. Santa Barbara Adventure Company’s surf lessons offer students a great foundation to this exciting sport. Our knowledgeable instructors have over 25 years’ combined experience and will use their skills to point out the finer points of catching waves.

Address: 3674 Pacific Coast Hwy, Ventura, CA 93001 21 miles south of Santa Barbara Directions: From the South: Take HWY 101 North past Ventura. Take Exit 72 toward State Beaches. Continue onto CA-1 North. Mondo's Beach will be on your left-hand side. Look for an Adventure Company van and park anywhere in this area. Your guide will be set up with boards and a Santa Barbara Adventure Company umbrella on the beach. If you cannot find your guide within a few minutes - PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE. From the North: This spot is approximately 21 miles or 25 minutes south of Santa Barbara. Take HWY 101 south past Carpinteria. Take Exit 78 for Pacific Coast Highway. The beach will be on your right-hand side. Look for an Adventure Company van and park anywhere in this area. Your guide will be set up with boards and a Santa Barbara Adventure Company umbrella on the beach. If you cannot find your guide within a few minutes - PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
