The only Africa-inspired safari experience in São Paulo, putting you metres from lions, giraffes, and hippos deep in the Atlantic Forest.

Getting started

Present your ticket at the entrance on Avenida do Cursino, 6338. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your session as trucks depart once full, with a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals.

What to expect

Simba Safari is São Paulo's iconic wildlife attraction, part of the São Paulo Zoo complex, and newly reopened after 20 years. Inspired by African safaris, it brings the thrill of the wild to the heart of Brazil.

• Into the wild: Climb aboard an open-sided safari truck and head deep into Atlantic Forest for close-up encounters with zebras, hippos surfacing in their pools, and lions basking in the open sun, all from your seat.

• Learn as you go: Your guide narrates every encounter with stories, conservation insights, and fascinating facts, turning each sighting into something you will actually remember.

• 40 species, one ride: Around 300 animals across 40 species appear through the 3km journey. Big cats, exotic birds, giants of the savannah, and more.
