What to expect

Haunted Savannah city route

This is a self-guided haunted city game via smartphone that leads you through some of the most haunted locations in Savannah. The experience is designed as an outdoor walking route through real streets and sites, with no physical tour guide needed.

Features

• Visits to haunted locations including a former hospital let you discover the devastation caused by yellow fever and imagine the atmosphere in the city during outbreaks. The route also brings you past stories connected to Civil War soldiers, so you can learn about the fate of soldiers wounded in the Civil War as you play.

• References to the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" appear along the way, helping you explore the connection between this famous title and Savannah while you move through the city. These story links give context to why specific locations are considered among the most haunted places in Savannah.

• Your approximate 2 hour city game duration is structured into short, app-based tasks and directions, and there is no time limit, so you can go at your own pace. Flexible start time and pause options mean you can begin at any hour, take a break at any time, and resume later without losing progress.

• The tour is available 24/7, every day, so you can choose daytime streets or late-night quiet corners for your haunted route. It is free for kids, making it easy to include younger players in the city game as long as they have a smartphone to share and you are comfortable with the ghost stories.
