A challenging task for all ages in the open air with your own raft creation Learn about knots and 3 dimensional assembly to create a stable raft Learn to share ideas and cooperate in teams
Take on the challenge of building a raft from basic parts. Far from crowds and noise, surrounded by forests, a perfect way to enjoy nature. We meet at the Johannisholm Adventure Reception (Johannisholm 109, 792 92 Mora, Sweden. First we collect paddles an buoyancy aids which we'll need later, then we take a short walk to the raft building area beside a small lake. You can decide to work as one group or split into teams. After some basic instruction from our guides you set about designing and assembling your raft. When completed you place it in the water, and if it floats (!) you get onboard and paddle out onto the lake. If all the rafts work well then it's time for a race!
At Johannisholm, our entrance is located west of the road (E45) with a large sign "Johannisholm Adventure". Drive in and keep left at the sign "Johannisholms Stugby", then just 100m further to a small parking space on the left side. There you can see our reception building where you meet your guide.
