guide will explain you the history of the city of Salzburg and how, for many years, it was a independent principality ruled by the catholic church and the importance of salt and how it influenced the growth of the city. Other points of interest will be explained on route to the next location.

Your private guide will show you where everything was located between 1933 and 1945. Places such as the Berghof grounds, entrance to the bunkers, SS barracks and much more. After giving you a mental picture and spacial orientation of the mountain, a scale model at the bus terminal will help you understand where everything was located.

From the Eagle’s Nest bus terminal. You will board a specially equipped mountain bus for a breath-taking ride up the 4 mile road, with its 27% incline to a rocky plateau. From there we will walk through a 406ft (124 meter) long tunnel, leading us directly to the original WWII brass elevator that will transport you up through the heart of the Kehlstein mountain for another 406ft, straight into the Eagle’s Nest itself. After a tour through the Eagle’s Nest, you will have some free time to enjoy the view or have refreshments.

In the afternoon you can choose between both ride to Saint Bartholomews Chapel in the kings lake or visit a 500-year-old salt mine
