Palazzolo, Italy
The olive groves are located on gentle hills, within a large glacial moraine amphitheater: a landscape formed by a series of rolling hills interspersed with small flat areas, created by rocky sediments carried by a great glacier around two million years ago. Situated at approximately 200 meters above sea level, the olive groves lie within a protected agricultural area of environmental and landscape significance, inside a natural park. The main olive varieties grown here are Casaliva, Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Grignano, along with a small number of other varieties.
