Discover one of the Sapphire Coast's most scenic waterways as you paddle through the crystal-clear Pambula River, surrounded by pristine bushland and the spectacular landscapes of Beowa National Park.
Getting started
Meet your guide at Pambula Lake, 52 Landing Road, Broadwater, before receiving a safety briefing and being fitted with your kayak and equipment. Once you're comfortable, set off on a guided paddle through the calm waters.
What to expect
• Guided kayaking adventure: Paddle approximately 6km (3km each way) along the peaceful Pambula River. Suitable for beginners and experienced kayakers, the route follows gentle waters with one leg typically assisted by the tide.
• Beowa National Park scenery: Enjoy uninterrupted views of the surrounding national park, pristine estuary landscapes, and the Sapphire Coast's natural beauty throughout your journey.
• Wildlife spotting: Keep an eye out for local birdlife and other native wildlife that thrive along the river and estuary as your guide shares fascinating insights about the ecosystem.
• Morning tea by the river: Pause midway to stretch your legs, enjoy a refreshing swim if conditions allow, and relax over a delicious morning tea featuring locally made sweet treats, seasonal fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and fresh local milk. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
• Support marine conservation: Every booking contributes directly to Sea Shepherd, helping fund projects that protect marine wildlife, remove plastic pollution, and combat illegal fishing.
