Discover the vibrant flavours and creative spirit of Newcastle on a 3-hour guided walking tour through Newcastle East.

Graze your way through five tastings across four to five of the city's best independent venues — think a paddle of three locally crafted beers, half a gourmet Italian panini, handmade dumplings, locally caught panko-crumbed prawns and Newcastle-made ice cream. The line-up rotates with the seasons and local producer availability.

Between bites, your local guide leads you through laneways filled with striking street art, public sculptures and hidden creative details, sharing the stories behind the artists and the city.

Departs 2pm from the Newcastle Visitor Information Centre, 430 Hunter Street, finishing around 5pm near the Newcastle Beach light rail stop. The route covers around 2.5km at an easy pace on mostly flat terrain.

Ages 7+ welcome — non-alcoholic options are available at the craft beer stop. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking.
