Nairobi National Park Game Drive with Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre Group Tour with Hotel Transfers

Your Experience

Explore Nairobi National Park, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, and Kazuri Beads in a shared group guided tour with game drive and hotel transfers.

Getting started

Your day begins with round-trip hotel transfers, with pickup from your Nairobi hotel or residence starting between 5:20 AM and 6:00 AM. Join your shared group guided tour and meet your expert professional driver-guide as you board the 4x4 tour van with open roof. Once everyone is on board and briefed, you set off toward Nairobi National Park to start your extensive game drive.

What to expect

Nairobi National Park

Your first major stop is Nairobi National Park, a wildlife area on the edge of the city where you will spend around four hours on safari.

Features

• From the open roof of your 4x4 tour van, you take part in an extensive game drive with chances to spot cheetahs, hyenas, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and the rare black rhino in their natural habitat.

• This shared group guided tour uses a safari-ready 4x4 tour van with open roof so you can stand, look out, and photograph wildlife while your expert guide explains animal behavior and helps you search for key species.

• Entry to Nairobi National Park is not included in the tour price, so you pay the Nairobi National Park entry ticket separately before entering the park.

David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

After the game drive, you continue to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to see rescued baby elephants during one of their key daily routines.

Features

• During feeding and playtime, you watch young elephants come into the viewing area, take their bottles, roll in the mud, and interact with their keepers while you hear about their individual rescue stories.

• Your expert guide accompanies the shared group into the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, helping you position yourself, interpret what you see, and answer questions about elephant conservation.

• The elephant orphanage entry fee is not included; you handle payment for the Elephant Orphanage entry fee on-site, separate from the tour.

Giraffe Centre

Next, you travel to the Giraffe Centre, home to endangered Rothschild giraffes.

Features

• At the Giraffe Centre, you have the chance to get up close with Rothschild giraffes, observing their height and markings from raised platforms and watching how they interact with visitors and staff.

• Your guide remains with the shared group, helping you understand the Giraffe Centre's role in protecting Rothschild giraffes and supporting with photos or basic guidance as needed.

• The Giraffe Centre entry fee is excluded from the tour price, so you pay for your Giraffe Centre entry separately when you arrive.

Kazuri Beads Factory

The final key stop is the Kazuri Beads Factory, a workshop known for handcrafted ceramics and jewelry.

Features

• Inside the Kazuri Beads Factory, you see local handicrafts being produced, with rows of colorful beads and finished pieces that show the range of designs available.

• This visit to Kazuri Beads Factory is included as part of your shared group guided tour, and your guide is on hand to help you navigate the space and understand how this stop fits into the broader day.

• You can browse the Kazuri Beads Factory shop for items at your own expense, as food, drinks, and other personal purchases are not covered by the tour.

Wrapping up

After visiting the Kazuri Beads Factory, your driver-guide returns you to your Nairobi hotel or residence with round-trip hotel transfers, concluding the shared group guided tour without airport pickup or drop-off and without pickups from hotels located inside the airport, in Mlolongo, Syokimau, Ongata Rongai, or past Safari Park Hotel.
