What to expect

Mount Teide cable car & stargazing

This is Teide in two completely different moods. At sunset, the cable car takes you to 3,555m, where the trail to Pico Viejo reveals an 800m crater, lava fields, and changing volcanic colors. After dinner, descend to the Cable Car base station and turn your attention upward for guided stargazing.

Features

• Ride into the sunset: Ascend by cable car to 3,555m and watch the evening light transform Teide's volcanic landscape.

• See Teide's shadow: Look toward the horizon as Teide casts its enormous shadow toward Gran Canaria, creating one of the evening's most striking sights.

• Stand above Pico Viejo: Follow the trail to the Pico Viejo viewpoint and look into its immense 800m crater, with views of neighboring islands when conditions allow.

• Dine before dark: Take a break after sunset and enjoy your choice of a buffet or premium dinner before the astronomical observation begins.

• Hunt for celestial objects: Back at the Cable Car base station, use professional telescopes to explore planets, galaxies, and clusters while your Starlight guide helps you navigate the constellations.
